Wordle Word Game March 2023

Wordle 文字游戏 2023 年 3 月.

Wordle starts with six rows of five blank cells, each row representing one attempt to guess at the word that the computer has set up for us to guess. Each cell is a space for a letter in the alphabets and the five cells represent the five letters in the word we want to guess.

Wordle 从六行开始，每行五个空白单元格，每一行代表一次尝试猜测计算机为我们设置的单词猜测。每个单元格都是字母表中一个字母的空格，五个单元格代表我们要猜测的单词中的五个字母。

It is best to start guessing with those words that have four vowels in them like: ADIEU. AUDIO. AULOI. AUREI. LOUIE. MIAOU. OURIE. or URAEI.

Depending on the result of the first guess where the cells colored green represents correct, the cells colored yellow means that those letters are in the wrong position, and those letters colored black means that those letters are not in the solution.

In the above case, it took us six attempts to get at the solution of MOOSE and we have just managed to win this game.

We are very lucky today, solving this in just two guesses, two attempts.

(1) AUDIO. Letter ‘ A ‘ is colored green and letter ‘ O ‘ is colored yellow - wrong position. We look at this and decide to test for the vowel ‘ E ‘ in the next attempt. With ‘ A ‘ as the starting letter and ‘ O ‘ to be embedded into the second to fourth positions, we come up with:

(2) ABOVE, with ‘ A ‘ as starting letter, ‘ O ‘ placed in the third position and the vowel ‘ E ‘ at the end of the word. Bingo! We are correct. All colored Green. Hooray!

Saturday, 4 March 2023.

We start with a new five lettered word with four vowels - AULOI. All colored black. This means that only vowel ‘ E ‘ exists in the solution. So, our next attempt is the word ENTER with two ‘ E ‘s. Interesting to note that there are now four letters colored yellow - wrong positions and these are the letters ‘ E ‘, ‘ N ‘, ‘ T ‘, and ‘ R ‘. Rearranging these four letters and adding one more letter to the mix, we have TREND which is correct.

SOWER. ‘ O ‘ is now coloured green, indicating correct. ‘ S’, ‘ E ‘, and ‘ R ‘ are coloured yellow. ROOSE. ‘ O ‘, ‘ S ‘ and ‘ E ‘ are now coloured green. ‘ R ‘ is still coloured yellow. HORSE. All letters coloured green. Correct Word.
