Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar
I could not help marveling at the spectacle. Even from a distance, the golden Pagoda, with its surrounding smaller, also golden pagodas, looks stunning. How could the Government and her people keep such monuments so clean, so fresh, so golden, for such a long time (over two thousand years, we were told), I wondered?
