We try to solve this Word-Code-Cracker today. Each number represents a different letter of the alphabet. There are therefore 26 numbers representing the 26 alphabets. Here, the number 19 is given to represent the letter ‘ R ‘ and the number 23 represents the letter ‘ C ‘. So the first letter is CORRECT at cell a7 reading downwards. Number 8 is therefore ‘ O ‘; number 2 is ‘ E ‘; and number 12 is ‘ T ‘.

We find above that we have now three words in place - CORRECT, CLOTHE and WHOLE.

The next word to find is the one at cell k1 reading downwards, that is O, W, L, 14. This word is OWLS. Therefore number 14 is the letter ‘ S ‘.

The next two words can easily be guessed. One is the word DISSOLVE, at cell f3 across, and the second is the word WISPS, following the discovery of number 11 = ‘ I ‘. So, number 13 = ‘ D ‘, number 11 = ‘ I ‘, number 8 = ‘ O ‘, number 15 = ‘ V ‘, and number 18 = ‘ P ‘.

GAUZE and GNU should complete this puzzle.
