Wordle: Start with googling “wordle” and we will get into the website https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html with the following screen of six rows of five cells representing our six attempts at getting the correct word for the day.

Type in our first five-lettered word as our first guess. It is usual to start with a word with four vowels, like: AUDIO; ADIEU; MIAOU; OUIJA: LOUIE; AULOI; AUREI; or OURIE.
The displayed result is then shown - Green coloured alphabet represent correct letters in the correct positions; Yellow coloured alphabets represent correct letters in the wrong positions; and Black coloured alphabets represent incorrect letters - that is to say, no such alphabets in the desired word (solution).
We often use the second guess to see if the missing vowel is in the solution, unless we are pretty sure from the result that the missing vowel is not needed.
Continue to have the next four more guesses.
If by the sixth guess, we cannot get the solution, we loose the Game.

First attempt: OURIE. ‘ I ‘ is yellow (right alphabet, wrong position) and ‘ E ‘ is green (right alphabet, right position).
Second attempt: TIARE. This test for the presence, if any, of the vowel ‘ A ‘. ‘ A ‘ is coloured black, that means ‘ A ‘ is not in the solution.
Third attempt: CHINE. Four greens in ‘ H I N E’.
Fourth attempt: WHINE. All green. All correct.

No of Games played to date is 302. No. of Games won to date is 300, which the sum of all the successes in the chart above - 6 successes with two attempts; plus 98 successes with three attempts; plus 143 successes with four attempts; plus 46 successes with five attempts; plus 7 successes with six attempts.

We have to guess an equation that is stored by the computer program for today. The equation has eight spaces to be filled in with digits, an equal sign, and some arithmetical signs ( + - * / ) representing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Our usual first equation is in the form of (digit) * (digit) + (digit) = (digit) (digit) with all the five digits different from one another like:
9 * 4 + 1 = 3 7
We are given six guesses to guess at the SOLUTION, that is the equation that the computer provides for us to guess for the day. If we cannot guess the right equation by the sixth attempt, we fail in the game, that is to say, we lost.
This time, a green represents a correct digit or sign in the right position; a purple represents a correct digit or sign but in the wrong position and a black represents an incorrect digit or sign.

First attempt: 9 * 4 + 1 = 3 7 Six purples and two blacks.
Second attempt: 2 1 3 / 7 1 = 3 Three greens. Logic here: With the multiplication ( * ) and the addition ( + ) signs out of the SOLUTION, the equal sign has to be in the seventh position for a one digit answer. We can also deduce logically that there is no room on the left hand side of the equation for two signs, so only the division sign ( / ) is considered. This proves to be correct.
Third attempt: 1 7 7 / 5 9 = 3. Almost all correct.
Fourth attempt: 1 4 7 / 4 9 = 3. Correct.
