Wordle - December 2022

Once into this website, we are given six rows of five cells. Each cell is to have one letter and the five letter together is to make up a word. The six rows record the six tries or attempts from us. Upon the entry of each word, the colour of the cell will change to show how accurate we are in our guess. A black colour means “Not in the word desired”, a yellow colour means “Right letter but in the wrong position” and a green colour means “Right letter in the right position.”

We start with the word AUDIO, the result is that all cells are black. Therefore the vowels ‘ A ‘, ‘ U ‘, ‘ I ‘, and ‘ O ‘ are not in the word desired. We need to test if vowel ‘ E ‘ is in the answer by the second word we choose, that is, ENTER. We got the starting letter ‘ E ‘ as green - correct, and two yellows in ‘ T ‘ and the second ‘ E ‘.

For our third word, we use ELECT and the result is four greens in the two ‘ E ‘s, and the ‘ C ‘ and the ‘ T ‘.

We got the answer in the fourth attempt in EJECT.

We have played a total of 271 continuous daily games and we have a total of 269 wins - 5 on our second attempt; 87 on our third attempt; 130 on our fourth attempt; 40 on our fifth attempt; and 7 on our sixth attempt. We did have two breaks in the winning streak, one at 32 games and one at 38 games - both because of absence of play. Our current winning streak should read 199.

Our first word today is ADIEU, another five lettered word with four vowels. Result: Two yellows for letters ‘ A ‘ and ‘ E ‘.

Our second word is CLAME - which is an obsolete word for Claim. Result: three greens in letters ‘ C ‘ , ‘ A ‘, and ‘ E ‘.

Third word is CHAPE, which describes the metal pin of a buckle. Result: four greens,

Fourth word is CHAFE, meaning rub a part of the body to restore warmth or sensation.
