Christmas in Vienna 2018. To prepare for Christmas, the annual Advent concert “Christas in Vienna” from the Vienna Konzerthaus offers a musical excursion into Christmas traditions from all over the world and proves again and again that Christmas is a time of togetherness and people not only musically across the borders connects with each other. Once again this year, the concert brings together a quartet of internationally renowned singers: the two sopranos Valentina Nafornita and Angela Denoke, tenor Carlos Osuna and baritone Adrian Eröd. The musical program ranges from classical repertoire to traditional Christmas carols from all over the world to popular Christmas carols. In addition to the Vienna Singing Academy, the Vienna Boys’ Choir will be there again. They will be accompanied by the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien under the direction of Christian Arming.

No. 4: I get excited for Christmas. It’s a great time to reconnect with family & friends. This year however, I have been thinking more about those who are not looking forward to Christmas, because of family problems, poverty, homelessness. This year, let’s think outside ourselves and our friends and family and help those we do or don’t know, who are struggling in some way offer some service. It doesn’t always have to be money. One of my best christmases was when i went to a homeless shelter and cut hair for anybody who wanted it. I was there from 9pm til about 3am.
