NERDLE: The rules

(1) There are eight  “ boxes ”

Purple colours represent correct number or sign but not the right box. So in this case 4 and 1 are numbers in the solution. The equal sign ‘ = ‘ is green, correctly placed.

Wordle - The Rules

There are five boxes here. Fill each box with an alphabet that represents an English word. Plurals are allowed. All names are not allowed. We have six attempts to solve a word. Result after each attempt - A Green colour represents correct alphabet in the correct box. A Yellow colour represents a correct letter but not in the correct box. Grey colour represents an alphabet not found in the solution.

Attempt 1: Use words with four vowels. The result will show us which of the five vowels is in the solution. Here our word for our first attempt is ADIEU, meaning “goodbye”.

Attempt 2: Use a word that has the other missing vowel and at the same time the other consonants that are in the solution. We use the word DOGMA here. The ‘O’ is the missing vowel and we reuse the alphabets ‘A’ and ‘D’ found in attempt 1:

Attempt 3: TODAY, a change of letters, with the three relevant alphabets ‘O’; ‘A’; and ‘D’.

Attempt 4: HOARD - the word is all correct.

Word Wheel: Insert the missing space with a letter such that an eight-letter word can be formed, reading either clockwise of anti-clockwise. Answer is at the end of this article.

The order of uncovered words in the logic of the solution: (1) First hints - word has the following codes: 3; 4; V; 14; T; 4; 3. The beginning digits 3, 4 and the ending digits 4, 3 give us the necessary letters DE and ED where 3 = D and 4 = E. Working through the remaining number 14 in this word, we can derive at the word DEVOTED.
