The Power Point Presentation to my Teacher today - ten slides with a header slide.
Record yourself saying the content of each of the following ten Powerpoint slides and submit your recordings together with the slides to your School box.
Slide # 1: Count the even numbers between 30 and 50.
Type out the English words (like “Thirty-Two”) on to the google translate App. Click the sound icon to listen to how the Chinese equivalent words are pronounced.
Slide # 2: What is Your Name?
Wo de mingzi shi ___________________________________. Wo de = My. Mingzi = name. shi = is. Note that in Chinese, a word like “James” is represented by three sound characters - zhan Mu Si. Similarly the name “John” has two sounds and is represented by two characters - 约翰 Yuēhàn. Yue Han.
Slide # 3: What sports do you like? You = Ni; Sports = Yundong; Like = Xihuan; What = Shenme; Snow = Xue; Snow Boarding = Huaxue. [Please add in the intonation marks to each vowel, thanks.]
Slide # 4: How many people are there in your family? Your family = Ni jia; Has, Have = you; How many = ji; Person = ren. How many No. of persons = ji you ren; My family = Wojia; Four = si ge; Members = chengyuan.
NOTE: For every slide, go to Google Translate App to learn the correct pronunciation of each Chinese character therein.
Slide # 5: What is your elder brother’s hobby? My eldest brother’s hobby is _________________.
Elder brother = gene; Younger brother = 弟弟 Dìdì; Hobby = aihao; What = shi shenma (literary “is what”); Play = wan; Computer or Internet = diannao (literary “electric brain’); Brain = nao; Game= youxi.
