Words come easy to Code-Cracker Simon Shuker: https://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/300494514/words-come-easy-to-codecracker-simon-shuker

Simon Shuker is a New Zealander born and raised with his parents, Alan and Deborah, and his two sisters, Christine and Karen, in the rural setting of Paekarariki, near Wellington, the New Zealand Capital. Simon is forty-nine years old today and he designed the Code-Cracker puzzles on a 13 x 13 grid some twenty years ago after following his father’s, Alan’s footstep in designing crosswords for New Zealanders. He has written over 150,000 Code-Cracker puzzled that have been circulated not only in New Zealand daily papers but in many other countries like South Africa, Malta, and Bangladesh, just to name three. His mother, Deborah, is his checker for any mistakes before publication of any puzzle. Deborah has done the same checking and testing for all the Crosswords that Alan designed.

“Knocking out a Code-Cracker, solving a puzzle – it brings us satisfaction, pumps dopamine into our bodies as our brains expect a reward for getting all those letters in the right places,” Simon says. “There’s that moment of satisfaction when your brain puts together disparate clues and comes up with an insight that turns out to be correct,” he adds.

Why not try to design our own Code-Cracker Puzzles? We do not have to design a 13 x 13 grid. For school children, or for those just starting to learn the English Language, puzzles with 10 x 10 grids would be fine.
