The Lover? 情人吗?

This is a story that can happen to any happily married couple.

Su Ran is an eye-specialist and her husband is Zhao Mingqi, a businessman in transportation.

Su Ran is the Head of the eye surgery team at Jiangjin Municipal Hospital. Her husband, Zhao Mingqi, runs his successful business in courier and transportation. They have been happily married for ten years. Both of them are busy with their respective workloads, with Mingqi taking care of all housework including overlooking after their nine-year old son, Duo Duo. They do have very limited quality time together and rarely communicate with one another.

苏然是江津市立医院眼科手术组组长。她的丈夫赵明琪在快递和运输方面经营成功。他们已经幸福地结婚十年了。两人各司其职，家务活都由明奇负责，包括照顾九岁的儿子多多。他们在一起的质量时间非常有限，而且很少相互交流。

Trouble began a year ago during the period when Su Ran had to spend time away from home to lecture at Beijing University. Yes, the kind hearted Zhao Mingqi helped a car sales manager, Hua Sha, with her problems helping her deal with her sick mother. Yes, Hua Sha was madly in love with Mingqi and during the time when Su Ran was away, the two had been romantically involved with one another.

麻烦从一年前开始，正值苏然离家在北大讲学的时候。是的，好心肠的赵明琪帮助汽车销售经理华莎解决了她的问题，帮助她处理生病的母亲。是的，华莎疯狂的爱上了明琪，而在苏然不在的那段时间，两人就已经风流一时了。

Imagine the fury and rage when Su Ran came back and found out that her husband had been unfaithful to her. She was deeply hurt, and she could not accept this fact, even though her husband who had been repentant and wanted her forgiveness. Su Ran could not let this event go, especially when Hua Sha was scheming repeated provocations, trying to draw Mingqi into a divorce to be together with her instead. Su Ran, who had no intention to get entangled, decided to divorce Mingqi but Mingqi was truly remorseful, and was unwilling to give Su Ran up. He told Hua Sha that there was absolutely no possibility for him to break up a happy family.

He Jian, 何健, another eye surgeon, a colleague of Su Ran, and a good friend of both Su Ran and Zhao Mingqi.

Unexpectedly, Hua Sha, who was unwilling to give Mingqi up, turned from love to hate, and she cruelly planned a rape case to blame Zhao Mingqi, intending to ruin his reputation. Zhao Mingqi became a rapist suspect and was imprisoned. The kind-hearted Su Ran resolutely put down her grievances because of her long-term marital relationship, and shouldered the heavy burden of finding out the truth in Zhao Mingqi’s case. In the end, with her efforts, Zhao Mingqi was cleared of the rape charge, thanks to the witness of an accomplice whom Su Ran and her lawyer took pains to convince this accomplice to act in the interest of truth.

不料的，不愿放弃明齐的华莎，从爱变成成恨，她残忍地策划了一起强奸案来责备赵明琪，意图毁掉他的名声。赵明琪成为强奸犯嫌疑人，入狱。心地善良的苏然毅然放下因长期夫妻关系而产生的委屈，肩负起查明赵明琪案子真相的重任。最终，在她的努力下，赵明琪的强奸罪名被无罪释放，多亏了从犯的见证，苏然和她的律师费尽心思说服了这个从犯为维护真相而行动。

The Three Friends met at the Airport when She Ran returned home after a sabbatical period teaching at Beijing University’s Medical School.

There are lessons to be learned from this story.

Upon returning home, they found that their home had been burgled.

Mid-life crisis happens all the time. The husband has to have the courage not to be romantically involved with a third party - the lover who is all bent to break a marriage up. The devoted family wife must learn not to take things for granted and to take pains to have quality time for her husband and her son. Relationships amongst the various family members including the extended family members (the mothers-in-law and the sister-in-law in this particular case) are important to help save a marriage.

中年危机无时无刻不在发生。丈夫必须有勇气不和第三者谈恋爱——那个一心想分手的情人。忠诚的家庭妻子必须学会不把事情想当然，并努力为她的丈夫和儿子度过美好的时光。不同家庭成员之间的关系，包括大家庭成员（在这种特殊情况下是岳母和嫂子）对于挽救婚姻很重要。

Excerpt: Mingqi was determined to separate from Hua Sha, and refused Hua Sha’s invitation to spend the night with her. That night, while Mingqi and Su Ran had their wedding anniversary dinner, Hau Sha called again. On the phone, Hua Sha cried and told Mingqi that she had been robbed. The kindly Mingqi had no choice but to lie to his wife that there was something wrong at his company and went to look for Hua Sha.

Mingqi found Hua Sha on the side of the road with a wound on her neck. Hua Sha said that she was robbed by a taxi driver and his accomplices with knives. Mingqi was convinced and sent to her home according to her wish.

明琪在路边发现了花纱，脖子上有伤口。华莎说，她被一名出租车司机及其同伙持刀抢劫。明琪心服口服，按她的意愿送回了家。

Excerpt: The next morning, Su Ran went to her mother-in-law’s house to pick up her son Duoduo and sent him to school. Mingqi went to work at the company he received a call from Hua Sha again. Hua Sha invited him to dinner but Mingqi rejected her outright. He did not want to give up his marriage with his wife.
