Learning the Chinese Language is becoming more important in life as we move forward into the next decade.
The article here is inspired by the textbook series entitled “Jing Bu” that is currently used in secondary schools in Australia.
We will start off with a twenty-six word vocabulary list with the theme “Supermarket” breaking this into parts like Grocery Items, Fruits and Veggies, Seafood, and the Butchery.
随着我们迈入下一个十年,学习中文在生活中变得越来越重要。Suízhe wǒmen mài rù xià yīgè shí nián, xuéxí zhōngwén zài shēnghuó zhōng biàn dé yuè lái yuè zhòngyào. 这里的文章灵感来自澳大利亚目前在中学使用的题为“进步”的教科书系列。 Zhèlǐ de wénzhāng línggǎn láizì àodàlìyǎ mùqián zài zhōngxué shǐyòng de tí wèi “jìnbù” de jiàokēshū xìliè. 我们将从一个以“超市”为主题的 26 个单词的词汇表开始,将其分解为杂货、水果和蔬菜、海鲜和肉类部门等部分。 Wǒmen jiāng cóng yīgè yǐ “chāoshì” wéi zhǔtí de 26 gè dāncí de cíhuì biǎo kāishǐ, jiāng qí fèn jiě wèi záhuò, shuǐguǒ hé shūcài, hǎixiān hé ròu lèi bùmén děng bùfèn.

Sentences: 句子 Jùzi
Yesterday, I went to the supermarket. 昨天,我去了超市。 Zuótiān, wǒ qùle chāoshì.
昨天 - Zuótiān - Yesterday; 去 - qù - go; 去了 - qùle - went.
I bought some eggs and a loaf of bread. 我买了一些鸡蛋和一条面包。 Wǒ mǎile yīxiē jīdàn hé yītiáo miànbāo.
I forgot to buy some fruits and fruit juice. 我忘了买一些水果和果汁。 Wǒ wàngle mǎi yīxiē shuǐguǒ hé guǒzhī.
I am now at the supermarket again. 我现在又在超市了。 Wǒ xiànzài yòu zài chāoshìle.
I shall be buying some bottles of water, Chinese tea, noodles and some rice. 我要买几瓶水、中国茶、面条和一些米饭。 Wǒ yāomǎi jǐ píng shuǐ, zhōngguó chá, miàntiáo hé yīxiē mǐfàn.
Of course, I must not forget to buy fruits and fruit juice. 当然,我一定不能忘记买水果和果汁。 Dāngrán, wǒ yīdìng bùnéng wàngjì mǎi shuǐguǒ hé guǒzhī.
I need to buy my lunch as well. 我也需要买我的午餐。 Wǒ yě xū yāo mǎi wǒ de wǔcān.
Shall I buy fried chicken for my lunch? 我要不要买 炸鸡 做我的午餐? Wǒ yào bù yāo mǎi zhá jī zuò wǒ de wǔcān?
Yes, roost chicken plus some cooked rice should be fine for me. 是的,炸鸡加一些煮熟的米饭对我来说应该没问题。 Shì de, zhá jī jiā yīxiē zhǔ shú de mǐfàn duì wǒ lái shuō yīnggāi méi wèntí.
Learning to write Chinese characters: (1) Water 水 Shuǐ Do the downward stroke first. Then the left hand side stroke. Third, a top to left stroke and lastly, the downward stroke on the right hand side of the character. Watch the video: https://youtu.be/3ItQ5xCJWK4.
(2) Mid (like Middle) 中 Zhōng. First, the left hand stroke that form the ‘mouth’ 口. Then the top and right hand side of the ‘mouth’ 口 in one stroke.
