Lord, in this troubled times we are reminded that we need each other’s cooperation to overcome the present COVID19 crisis. We have not been obedient to Your command in the past, with each of us trying to play YOUR ROLE, always with the selfish motive that we have to impose our wills to others. You have taught us that the universal body that can survive, thrive, and accomplish Your purpose have many and varied parts while still being just one body. We are just all part of the same spirit and we need to work together for that very reason. Amen.

Now that we have read the message in yesterday’s (23-07-2021) Our Daily Bread, let us relax and listen to a part (second movement) of Beethoven’s Third Symphony (18 minutes) by clicking the website here: https://youtu.be/arfHsnxE-MU. If we listen to the entire “Eroica” 51 minutes of the music, we should be able to detect the music that represents the various phases of our lives - (sweetness, sourness, bitterness, spiciness) or happiness, pleasure, love, jealousy, selfishness, anger, sadness, cry, painfulness, and peace. Remember that this piece of music was written during the French Revolution and we can imagine the mood of the French people during those times. Also, Beethoven himself had his own physical difficulty. He was beginning to be deaf. Imagine to ourselves how a deaf musician can compose music.
