Over in eleven (11) moves
This is the shortest chess game I have played for as long as I can remember.
And, I won.
Yes, I won in eleven moves against a stronger opponent.
Instead of cherishing the victory, I have decided to take a closer look at the opponent’s moves, and analysing them to see where I can learn from the mistakes he had made.
Move # 1.: e3 d5. The e3 move by White appears to be ineffective. Its primary motive is to clear the way for his Bishop to move towards the right hand side of the chess board. I would have thought that e4 would be a better move by White as it would have achieved the same result and, at the same time, would have prevented Black from going d5, thus controlling the centre - a must in the initial stages, according to most chess strategy books.
Move # 2.: Bb5+ Bd7 The move Bb5+ is again an ineffective one as this check move can easily be blocked by Bd7 and later the White Bishop can be driven away from the b5 location by f3 or by h3.
Move # 3.: Bxd7+ Qxd7 Black’s move Qxd7 has been deemed to be an inaccuracy by www.chess.com and the recommended move by this website is Nxd7 with the following anticipated subsequent moves 3. … Nxd7 4. Nc3 Ngf6 5. Nf 3 e5 6. d3c6 7. O-O Bd6 8. a3 O-O 9. Bd2 e4 10. dxe4 dxe4 11. Nd4 Ne5 12. h3

Move # 7.: Na3 O-O-O
Move # 8.: Nf3 e6 Black’s move of e6 is again considered an inaccuracy and according to chess.com the moves should be 8. … e5 9. d3 Bxa3 10. bxa3 f5 11. exf5 Qxf5 12. O-O Nf6 13. Rb1 h6 14. Bd2 Rhe8 15. Qe2 e4 16. dxe4 Nxe4 17. Rfe1 Nf6
