Year 2017 - What a year this has been!
The year 2017 is coming to a close and it is time that I reflect what a year this has been for a retired person like me.
I am fully blessed - Praise the Lord.
I have a very supportive wife, Lin, four beautiful children who have supportive spouses, and seven lovely grandchildren. The seventeen of us are constantly in touch with one another and all of our extended family members are well, Praise the Lord.
For the first time in many years, the year 2017 can now be archived as a year of real relaxation with no work pressure. Of course, I can never really do nothing. In between my writings and record keeping on Excel, I do about five hours of Ubering every weekday.
The year saw Lin and I having a considerable amount of time away from home.
In January we were at Tauranga and Mt Maunganui with Will.
During the end of March to early April, we were in Dunedin and surrounds with Will and Sharon.
Earlier in March, cousin Wan Leng and her daughter visited us from Melbourne and we travelled together to Rotorua, Taupo, and Waitomo Caves, bypassing Hobbit Town on the way.
Then in May and June, we travelled to Singapore and Thailand with cousin Wan Leng and revisited some of the places where we had visited way back during the ten years between the years 1995 and 2005.
