Photographs:

(1) The featured photo is that of the front street view of the property. Notice the front red letter box, styled to that from the Post Office. The exterior reflects the style of construction of the 1990’s.

(2) Upon opening the front door, we are greeted with the Entrance Hallway. A grandfather’s clock stands at the far end of the Hallway on the left whilst a small cupboard for the shoes is located on the right with a quaint table lamp sitting on the top of that cupboard. The painting on the wall is that of an elderly Chinese miner who came to Dunedin during the gold mining days. The end of the Entrance Hallway is the Kitchen and Bathroom areas.

(3) Three photos of the main lounge, located on the right-hand side as we walk into the entrance hall. The old radio is there. The lazy chairs and the lounge table are there. have you noticed the cupboard at one corner of the room? It has drawers to house some delicate display items to be shown off during those special occasions when important guests were invited to the house.

(4) Three photos of the dining area, located to the left of the Entrance Hall, behind the front bedroom. The rocking chair, the fireplace, the round dining table, the dining chairs, the wall photos, the clocks and a storage cupboard that houses the special cutlery and crockery items to be used when important guests were invited to the house for dining.

(5) Take a look at the kitchen. This has been modernized with dishwasher, modern-day stove-cum-oven, microwave, and fridge but eh decorations remain in the turn of the last century. Notice the shelve with the jars of preserved fruits and vegetables and various oddments of the garden herbs. The space with painted yellowish-green walls is the space for the old stove that we saw in another historic house, The Olverston Historical Home - the subject of another posting later.
